I keep my blog as a personal record of what I'm up to, which might be seen as working towards "An elegant sufficiency, content, retirement, rural quiet, friendship, books, ease and alternate labour, useful life"
I'm certainly not there yet. There is quite some way to go!

Sorry to see you are having trouble with your new toy. I am behind reading but have you tried starching the fabric you cut? I have found that when die cutting fabrics it makes a huge difference starching the fabric before cutting and I don't mean spraying a bit of spray starch on the fabric I mean soaking the fabric overnight if possible before drying and ironing. The fabric cuts like butter with a hot knife. It could be a completely different techniques that is needed here but just a passing thought. Hope you find a way of making it work soon.
In the words of Susan B. Anthony, "Nothing is impossible!" Persevere. I have no doubts of your ability to master this and anything else you try.
