In the salad section

in
Gloucestershire,
fun,
life

I keep my blog as a personal record of what I'm up to, which might be seen as working towards "An elegant sufficiency, content, retirement, rural quiet, friendship, books, ease and alternate labour, useful life"
I'm certainly not there yet. There is quite some way to go!

Allo,
Pinterest has this for glorious colour :
Jacque Reid on Pinterest.
Rose Petals, well this day we are having Rose ice cream a staple at our local [very local] ice cream store. They have, Rose, Lavender, Earl Grey, Basil [only when the local grower's have it] Cardamon, all real food ice creams and ices. It is heavenly to live in a town where there is real ice cream daily in Rose. Rose ice ream with a bitter sweet chocolate sauce is scrumptious.
I can believe it, Ava. Lucky you, living near to such wonderful flavours of ice cream!
Gill,
We are fortunate. I have never lived in the USA where one can buy milk from Holsteins, Guernseys and Jerseys. We have fresh everything. It is very agriculture driven and for certain a "foodie town". The berries, the lamb, goat's milk, the yogurts, cheeses, and WOW the kale - never knew so many types existed ! And of course flowers, maybe on your trip near Port Angeles, and Port Townsend Washington you visited the immense lavender and tulip fields. I did not know America had such. [Anyways, I agree with you the art sculptures, and in general do not appear to be well cared for in this area.] And how could I forget the fish and the seafood. The spotted prawns are a glorious colour and the discernible flavours of oysters - I am learning...
kind wishes,
Ava
nb this town is big on eating nasturtiums.
