I keep my blog as a personal record of what I'm up to, which might be seen as working towards "An elegant sufficiency, content, retirement, rural quiet, friendship, books, ease and alternate labour, useful life"

I'm certainly not there yet.  There is quite some way to go!

My copy arrived this morning and I’m looking forward to settling down later for a good read.  I understand the last few paragraphs might be particularly interesting…

Hi gill
Thanks for dropping by my blog and the link to the sourdough site, will have to have a good read. I have made crumpets before, even managed to find some proper crumpet rings, but yeast based of course. I was very envious of your bread making day, the end results looked fabulous.
Re your google account, the old one should be there, I have a couple and I just sign out then sign back in using the alternative account, sounds simple I know, but have had error messages about it not being recognised. If you persist, it does eventually pop back up. I cannot find a way to change my blogger account without adding myself as an administrator using the new email addy,, which seems a bit daft, so now I just don't receive notifications when I receive a comment on the blog.
I am considering a blackcat cougar cutting machine, and your right, it's a big investment, but I think Louise will get a lot of use out of it too and the mind just boggles at all the things I could do with it!.
Look forward to your next post, want to hear about the last few chapters of that book.
