I keep my blog as a personal record of what I'm up to, which might be seen as working towards "An elegant sufficiency, content, retirement, rural quiet, friendship, books, ease and alternate labour, useful life"

I'm certainly not there yet.  There is quite some way to go!

Can't wait for Spring

After a couple of lovely days, today's dreary, dull afternoon came as somewhat of a disappointment.  I decided I couldn't wait any longer and decided to make my own Spring.  I bought a book whilst in Japan last October and got out my scissors, a few sheets of pink paper and set to work.

Oh, and I set up my Flip as well.

No sign of anything like the real thing here yet.  We'll just have to make do with paper cherry blossom for a little longer.

Have fun!

I am actually revelling in the rain - sorry.........
Here in Powys we have had a spate of grassland fires, one nearby from an out of control garden bonfire has wiped out 20 hectares! All around, the land looks parched and, selfishly, as we have planted 70 trees, I was glum at the idea of having to walk my watering can around them all!! However, after two days of aqua vita falling the WFV is now saying "I'm fed up with this now!!"
I have to agree with you though,in that I find no sight more glorious than a crocus stretching to flaunt itself at the sun - I am confused!
