I keep my blog as a personal record of what I'm up to, which might be seen as working towards "An elegant sufficiency, content, retirement, rural quiet, friendship, books, ease and alternate labour, useful life"

I'm certainly not there yet.  There is quite some way to go!

But it wasn't for long

Of course, we enjoy travelling to new places and never tire of being able to go off here and there! We are now in Ghent, Belgium having spent the weekend with Mark's choir, the Stuart Singers, in Arcen, a small town on the River Maas in the Netherlands. The lack of a wifi connection meant that we couldn't post photos online or keep our blogs up to date, but during the next few days, we'll try to catch up.

As well as singing, there has been a good deal of eating and drinking. One particular seasonal delicacy of the region has made an appearance on almost every dish over the weekend, including a Creme Brulee. I wonder if you can guess what it is?
